Christoph Moritz is a German footballer from Düren-Birkesdorf who plays as a midfielder for Mainz 05.
He began his football career at the age of four by joining FC Viktoria 08 Arnoldsweiler. When the player was 16, he drew the attention of Alemannia Aachen and spent another three years in different youth teams of the club. He got to the starting squad and was substituted after the half time, but received the praise of the head coach’s and mass media. Moritz showed a stellar performance in the next round and netted his first Bundesliga goal, which contributed to an unquestionable 3-0 win of his team over VfL Bochum.
In January 2010 Cristoph extended his contract with ‘The Miners’ till 2013. At the end of his contract Moritz joined Mainz 05.
