Ciaran Clark is a defender of Aston Villa, who is also capable of operating in midfield. He was born on 26 September 1989.
The footballer joined the academy of Aston Villa in 2000 and started to perform for the U-13 squad, where he spent two years before moving to the older team. Ciaran cruised through all levels of the youth system, which helped him to gain priceless experience.
In 2009 Clark penned his first contract with Aston Villa. The defender joined the main squad and began training with his teammates. The head coach attentively observed the player’s progress for some time before letting him on the field. Ciaran had wonderful skills despite his young age, which earned him an opportunity to make 35 appearances (both with the starting team and as a sub) and net four goals during the 2011/2012 season.
In 2005 Clark received an offer to play at the international level for the England national U-17 team and the footballer took part in six games for the Three Lions. From 2006 till 2008, Ciaran was capped 11 times for the England national U-18 and U-19 teams. In 2009 the defender featured in two games and contributed one goal for the England national U-20 squad, before he decided to cap for the Republic of Ireland two years later. Clark made two appearances for the Boys in Green.
