A Brazilian footballer Cícero Santos plays as an attacking midfielder for São Paulo. He was born on 26 August 1984 in Castelo.
Cícero came from the youth system of Bahia. In 2004, he grabbed his first pro contract and his professional career started.
In 2006, the midfielder was hired by Figueirense. The move turned to be a success, as the footballer managed to establish himself in the starting squad. In 2007, the contract was penned with Fluminense and Santos managed a fabulous season with the club, featuring in 80 appearances and amassing 20 goals.
Cícero’s game was soon noticed by the clubs from other countries and very soon he started to get numerous offers from them. In 2008, the footballer took the proposal from the German Hertha BSC, where he made 63 appearances and netted 10 goals. In 2010, Santos joined another club from Germany – Wolfsburg.
In 2011, a move to São Paulo happened. The midfielder’s already appeared in more than 50 matches for the starting squad.
In 2006, Cícero won the Santa Catarina State League and the next year he gained the title at the Brazilian Cup.
