Cláudio Adão is a retired Brazilian footballer, born in 1955. He began his professional playing career at Santos FC in 1972 making a promising start but picked up an injury which kept him aside from playing. After recovering Adão joined Flamengo and played there between 1977 and 1980. He played for numerous Brazilian football teams, such as Botafogo, Fluminense FC, Vasco da Gama, Bangu, EC Bahia, Cruzeiro EC, Portuguesa, SC Corinthians, Ceará, Santa Cruz FC, Volta Redonda, Rio Branco and Desportiva. He also had spells in Austria, Peru and UAE.
During more than twenty years of his playing career he played for over 20 clubs. Adão retired as a player and was the manager of Volta Redonda, Rio Branco and Duquecaxiense in Brazil and Sport Boys in Peru.
