Clemente Juan Rodríguez was born in 1981 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently he plays for Boca Juniors as a defender.
He graduated from Club Atlético Los Andes and began his senior playing career at Boca Juniors. In December 2000 Rodríguez made his debut for the team in a 1-2 loss at Chacarita Juniors and in his first season with the club he appeared in 4 matches, in the following season he featured in 13 Clausura matches and in 10 Apertura games, 10 games in the Copa Libertadores. During the next two seasons Rodríguez remained a regular player. All in all he played in 148 matches and scored 6 goals.
In July 2004, the Argentinean signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Spartak Moscow for a fee of €4 million. In 2007 he had a loan spell at Boca Juniors during Clausura. The 2007/08 season Rodríguez was loaned to Espanyol. In 2009 returned back to Argentina and played for Estudiantes de La Plata for a season before he joined Boca Juniors where he used to play at the beginning of his senior career and then had a stint.
Clemente Rodríguez represents the Argentina national team and helped the team to win the 2004 Olympics.
