Connor Ripley is a goalkeeper of Middlesbrough. He was born on 13 February 1993 in Middlesbrough, England.
Connor spent first years of his youth career in the academy of Blackburn Rovers, where he performed for various junior squads. The footballer’s performance drew the attention of Middlesbrough scouts, and they offered him a move to their youth system. In 2011, Ripley was sure he would pass all necessary tests and get a place in the main squad of the club. He penned his first professional contract, but had to face high competition for a regular place between the posts. At first, Connor was used as a reserve keeper, but he tried to raise the level of his workmanship during numerous trainings. In the first half of the 2011/2012 season, the head coach gave the footballer a chance to take part in two league games, which gave the goalie the idea of the senior level.
In the second half of the season, Ripley went on loan to Oxford United, but featured only in one game during his spell. Later on he was loaned to Bradford City.
From 2011 till 2012, the keeper was capped four times for the England national U-19 squad.
