A Spanish footballer Ferran Corominas Telechea, also known as Coro, performs as a forward for Elche. Ferran was born on 5 January 1983 in Vilobí d’Onyar, Catalonia.
Corominas went from the youth ranks of Banyoles. In 2001, the young forward was selected for the B side of Espanyol, where he spent three years. He became the team’s regular player. Altogether, he made 102 appearances and amassed 32 goals for the reserves.
On 2 November 2003, Ferran earned his first opportunity on the first team of Espanyol. He took part in a match against Real Sociedad. From 2004, the player started to make more frequent appearances for the main squad. He wasn’t a top scorer, but, nevertheless, the head coach considered him to be a very talented footballer and gave him lots of playing time. Very soon, Corominas turned into the squad’s anchor player. Altogether, the forward made 165 appearances and netted 14 goals for the club.
In January 2011, Ferran was loaned out by Osasuna. He made 6 league appearances and agreed on a temporary deal with Girona FC. The 2011/2012 season was lined with 18 balls scored in 40 matches. In 2012, the forward was bought out by Elche.
On international level, Ferran Corominas used to represent the Spain national youth team at U-17, U-19 and U-20 levels. The player appeared 15 times from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, the forward made his debut appearance for the Catalonia full side.
