Corry John Evans is a midfielder of Blackburn Rovers. He was born on 30 July 1990 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Corry’s youth career took off in the academy of Greenisland Boys, where the player learned the basis of football. Evans showed impressing performance for the junior squad and drew the attention of Manchester United scouts. In 2005, the midfielder moved to the youth system of ‘The Red Devils’ and spent four years with the new club, which helped him to get ready for a professional level.
In 2009, Corry penned a senior contract with MU and went on loan to Carlisle United in 2010. The footballer made one appearance for the team during his spell and sealed a temporary deal with Hull City, where he took part in 18 fixtures and netted three goals. The management liked Evans’s performance and offered him a deal on permanent basis. In the summer 2011, the midfielder put pen to paper of a long-term contract with ‘The Tigers’, which saw him score three goals in 75 games for the club. In August 2013 Evans switched for Blackburn Rovers.
From 2006 till 2008, Corry featured in 24 matches and fired one goal for the Northern Ireland national U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2009, the footballer has been capped 15 times and contributed one goal for the full national team.
