Cristian Brocchi is a retired defensive midfielder. He was born on 30 January 1976 in Milan, Italy.
Brocchi’s professional career started in 1994 when he signed his first contract with his alma mater A.C. Milan. The debut season at Milan was an idle one for the young midfielder and in 1995 he was sent out on loan to Pro Sesto Calcio. During 2 seasons Brocchi was a key midfielder at the club totaling 57 matches and 3 goals.
In 1997 Cristian was sent to Lumezzane on another loan spell. During the 1997/98 season Cristian was a key player at the new club and scored a total of 4 goals in 30 appearances.
In 1998 Cristian Brocchi signed for Serie B Hellas Verona and quickly became a regular fixture to feature in practically every match of the club. During 2 seasons Brocchi started 59 matches and scored 8 goals.
In 2000 Brocchi signed for Internazionale and scored 1 goal in 15 appearances during the 2000/01 season.
In 2001 Cristian signed for Milan and successfully performed with the club’s first team during 8 years, except for the 2005/06 season that he spent playing for Fiorentina on loan with a total of 34 matches and 3 goals. For 7 years of active play for Rossoneri Cristian made 100 appearances and scored 4 goals.
In 2008 Cristian moved to his last club Lazio. Since 2008 to 2013 Cristian featured in 111 games for the Italian club.
Cristian Brocchi earned many honors throughout his long pro football career at Milan and got three while playing for Lazio – 2 Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in 2009.
In 2006 Brocchi made 1 appearance for the Italian national team.
