Cristian Gomez. Biography

Cristian Gómez García is a Spanish footballer who plays for RCD Espanyol on a position of a central midfielder.

He spent the start of his career in a local club of his hometown Hospitalet de Llobregat. His debut for the side playing in the Segunda B division took place during the season 2007/08 when his side got relegated. The comeback happened in 2010 as Cristian helped his side return to the Segunda B with 25 appearances and two goals.

At the end of March 2011 Cristian joined RCD Espanyol alongside with his teammate Cristian Alfonso. At first they received a temporary placement in the reserve team before Gómez debuted for the Catalan side in the season of 2011/12 on November 20 having been sent to the pitch to play 19 minutes of a game against Real Sociedad. During the whole campaign Cristian gained 20 La Liga appearances and scored once.
