Cristian Daniel Ledesma is a halfback for Lazio. He was born on 24 September 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ledesma’s youth career started in 1997 at Boca Juniors football academy. During 4 years Cristian was one of the most promising wards of the academy. His bright and convincing performance coupled with hard and productive training allowed the young midfielder to pave his way to pro football.
In 2001 Cristian Daniel was scouted and signed by Italian Serie B Lecce. The Argentine was eager to play in Europe and quickly accepted the offer of a long-term permanent contract. Soon Ledesma became a key midfielder at Lecce and rarely missed a game totaling 126 matches and 4 goals during 5 seasons.
In 2006 Serie A Lazio bought Cristian Daniel from Lecce for €450,000. Since 2006 Ledesma is a regular and a key midfielder for Aquile. To date, Cristian Daniel has made 183 appearances and scored 11 goals for Lazio.
Ledesma helped Lazio to win Coppa Italia in the 2008/09 season. In 2010 Cristian Daniel was capped 1 time for Italy.
