Cristiano Lupatelli is a goalkeeper of ACF Fiorentina. He was born on 21 June 1978 in Perugia, Italy.
The goalkeeper’s professional career took off in 1996 when he penned the contract with Fidelis Andria. Cristiano managed to make 25 appearances during 3 seasons. In 1999 Lupatelli signed a long-term contract with Roma. In 2001 he was loaned to Chievo Verona where he became the first-choice goalkeeper and played in 59 matches. In 2004 Cristiano put pen to paper of a contract with ACF Fiorentina. He made several appearances during his debut season there but was not able to become the team’s regular goalkeeper, so in 2005 he was loaned to Parma where he played in 8 matches. In 2006 Cristiano was loaned again, this time to Palermo.
In 2008 Lupatelli signed a long-term contract with Cagliari, making only 4 appearances during 2 years. In 2010 Cristiano joined Bologna where again had to cope with the role of second-choice goalkeeper. In 2011 the Italian joined Genoa.
On 15 July, 2012 he marked his comeback to Fiorentina as a free agent.
In 2000 the goalkeeper played two caps for Italy U-21 team.
