Csaba Somogyi is a Hungarian goalkeeper. He was born on 7 April 1985 in Dunaújváros, Hungary.
Csaba started his professional career in Győr, where he was a second-choice keeper and came on the pitch on rare occasion. Somogyi made only three appearances for the main team, which hampered the beginning of his confident performance.
In 2007 Csaba was sent on loan to Integrál-DAC, where he took part in five matches. After the end of the loan spell, the management of the temporary club decided to buy the goalkeeper, as his level was very satisfying. Somogyi transferred to the new team and spent one season with it, making 13 appearances as a first-choice.
However, the following year Csaba left Integrál-DAC and went to Hévíz FC, where he played during one season as well, and took part in six games. A year later, Somogyi ended his Hévíz spell with Rákospalotai move, which helped his career to experience a real flourishing after all years of waiting. From 2010 till 2011, Csaba made 43 appearances for the new team and drew the attention of Fulham in 2011. The English side offered him the place of a second-choice goalkeeper and Somogyi decided to accept the offer. After a short loan spell with Dartford, in 2013 Somogyi was released form Fulham.
