Dai Lin is a Chinese defender, born on November 28, 1987 in Dalian, China.
Dai Lin joined Liaoning’s youth academy in 2004 after being spotted playing for Dalian Yiteng. In 2005 he penned his first professional contract with Liaoning Zhongyu. His premier appearance in the club’s shirt came on April 14, 2005. The promising defender quickly broke into the main team and in June he scored his maiden goal. The footballer made a total of 71 starts for the club. In 2009 his progress was noticed by Slavija Sarajevo’s scouts. The move was on the cards but the player decided to return to China and to join Shanghai Shenhua. He made his debut as a sub against Jiangsu Sainty on August 2, 2009. The towering defender quickly became a mainstay in the Shanghai Shenhua defense. During the 2011 season he captained his team.
In 2014 Lin Dai moved to Shangong Luneng.
From 2007 to 2008 Dai Lin represented the China U-23 team on 7 occasions. In 2010 he became a senior international making his debut in the match against Latvia.
