Daine Marcelle Klate was born on February, 25 1985 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Currently he plays as a left winger for Orlando Pirates.
Daine Klate has played for Glenville Celtic as a kid before moving to Transnet School of Excellence in 2000 at the age of 15. In 2002 he joined Supersport United youth academy and progressed through the ranks to make his debut for the senior team in 2004.
He has soon become fans favorite at Supersport United, having made 138 appearances and scoring 29 goals for six years. He was instrumental in winning Premiership titles for three consecutive years (2007-2010).
In 2010 Klate joined Orlando Pirates, helping his team to capture two Premiership titles, Nedbank Cup title, two MTN 8 Trophies and Telkom Knock-Out Trophy.
Klate has received his first call-up in 2005 and has been capped ten times since then scoring one goal.
