Daniel Ayala is a back of Middlesbrough. He was born on 7 November 1990 in El Saucejo, Spain.
In 2000 Daniel joined the academy of Sevilla. Having become a trainee of a prestigious club, the young footballer started to perform for the U-11 team and later moved to the U-13 squad. Ayala was fostered in the Sevilla youth system during seven years and learned his first and most important football skills, which developed as he progressed. In 2007 Liverpool scouts took an interest in the talented Spanish footballer and invited him on a trial. After successful tests and demonstration game, the young player was officially invited to the academy of the Merseyside club and he spent another two years there before the beginning of his professional career.
In 2009 Daniel penned his first contract with Liverpool, which counted on the young footballer in future, but at that time he made rare appearances. That fact disappointed the back and he decided to go on loan to Hull City in 2010. Ayala spent six months in the temporary team, took part in 12 matches and netted one goal. In January 2011, Daniel was sent on loan again, this time to Derby County, where he made 17 appearances during the rest part of the season.
In the summer 2011, Ayala penned a contract with Premier League club Norwich City. He eventually made his maiden appearance in the top division of the country, though not for Liverpool. The footballer featured in seven games during the season, but that was only the beginning for the young Spanish player.
Ayala was loaned to Nottingham Forest for the season 2012/2013. In 2013/2014 Ayala was loaned to Middlesbrough and was later offered a permanent contract with the side.
In 2011 Daniel was capped one time for the Spain national U-21 squad.
