Daniel Batz was born on January, 12 1991 in Erlangen. His career started at SC Adelsdorf and in 2003 the player moved to the academy of SpVgg Greuther Fürth where he spent two years. Soon after that he was transferred to FC Nürnberg.
On October, 17 2008 Daniel made a debut in his first match in the Regionalliga. Then his team lost 0-3 playing against SSV Ulm. At the same time, the footballer had an opportunity to play for the U-19 team. In the winter 2009 Daniel broke his leg, and this prevented him from promoting in the club. In season 2010/11 Daniel drew attention of the main squad, but still played for the reserve team. In total, the goalkeeper appeared in 29 matches during three months.
In the season 2011/12 Batz moved to SC Freiburg. There he signed three-year contract till June 30, 2014. The player gained practice in the reserve team, and played altogether ten matches for it. Daniel made his debut for the main squad on May, 5 2012 where his team lost 0-4 to the reigning champion Borussia Dortmund. After that the goalkeeper hasn’t been invited to field as a first-string player.
