Daniel Pudil is a back of Watford. He was born on 27 September 1985 in Prague, Czech Republic.
In 1991, Daniel started to train in the academy and perform for the youth team of Sparta Prague, where he spent 12 years.
In 2003, the footballer penned a professional contract with FK Chmel Blšany and began his senior career. The 2003/2004 season was rather fruitful for Pudil, because the head coach gave him an opportunity to take part in 11 fixtures, where the back netted two goals.
In 2004, Daniel sealed a deal with FC Slovan Liberec. The footballer became the pivot on the left flank and fired six goals in 70 matches for the club during three years. In 2007, Pudil completed a loan move to SK Slavia Praha and found the net six times in 21 games during the 2007/2008 season.
In 2008, the back transferred to Belgian side Genk. Daniel made 118 appearances and scored four goals for the team before moving to Spanish side Granada in January 2012. However, the management of the new club sent the footballer to Italian side Cesena at once. Pudil chipped in one goal in seven fixtures during six months and finalized a season-long loan move to English side Watford. At the end of the spell Daniel signed a permanent contract with the club.
From 2004 till 2007, the back featured in 24 matches and contributed one goal for the Czech Republic national U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2007, Daniel has been capped 23 times and gone on to net two times for the senior national team.
