Daniel Andre Sturridge (born 1 September 1989 in Birmingham) is a Liverpool and the England national team forward. Sturridge is primarily a center forward, although he is often used as a winger. That gives player the opportunity to create unpredictable ideas on the pitch. Daniel Sturridge is the winner of the Double in 2009/10 season, the Champions League and the FA Cup in 2012.
Sturridge began his career entering the Aston Villa youth academy before moving to Coventry City in 2002. A year later he signed a contract with Manchester City. There Daniel continued his development, appearing in two Youth FA Cup finals. The forward made his first appearance as a regular in 2007/08 and became the first footballer to ever net in the FA Cup, the Youth FA Cup and the Premier League during the same season. He left Manchester City for Chelsea in 2009. In 2011 Sturridge was sent on loan to Bolton Wanderers F.C., where he managed to net eight goals in 12 games. Before the beginning of 2011/2012 season André Villas-Boas got Daniel back to the main team.
In January 2013 Sturridge completed a move to Liverpool and became a top striker alongside Luis Suarez.
The footballer represented the country at U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 championships. He also played for the senior national team. In the national youth team Daniel netted four goals in 15 games. Sturridge made his senior international debut in the match against the Sweden national team in November 2011.
