Daniele Capelli is a defender for Atalanta BC. He was born on 20 June 1986 in Calcinate, Italy.
The player’s youth career developed in several Italian academies, among which was Atalanta BC where he performed for two years from 2002 till 2004.
In 2004 Daniele earned promotion to Atalanta senior team. He accepted the offer and signed his first professional contract. Throughout his first season Capelli appeared in several matches as a member of the starting lineup. In 2006 an Italian defender starred for AC Arezzo where he spent quite a fruitful year. Thus during the 2006/07 season he netted 4 goals in 35 matches for the club. By the end of the loan spell the player kept on performing for Atalanta BC in the starting lineup. However, in two years, in 2009 Daniele again was loaned to Reggina Calcio for which he featured in 12 matches scoring 1 goal. Having returned to Atalanta BC after a loan spell he has periodically appeared in the starting lineup.
In the season 2013/2014 Capelli played on loan at Cesena.
In 2006 Capelli once played for the Italy U-20 national team.
