Daniele Conti is a midfielder who is playing for Cagliari. He was born on 9 January, 1979 in Nettuno, Italy.
Daniele began his youth career in A.S. Roma youth system. Conti was a talented player and was quickly promoted to the senior squad of the club.
In 1996 Daniele signed a contract with Roma and joined the club on a permanent basis, hoping to get into the first team despite his lack of pro football experience. However, the player made only 5 appearances and scored 1 goal in three seasons at Roma. In 1999 Conti was eager to change the club.
In the summer of 1999 Daniele finally moved out of Roma to another Serie A side - Cagliari. After short negotiations the clubs agreed on the transfer fee and Conti finally joined his second professional club during the 1999 summer transfer window.
Since Daniele became a part of Cagliari first team, he managed to establish himself as one of the best midfielders in the history of the club. For many years now Conti is considered one of the most important players in the side, with an outstanding record of 356 matches and 39 goals.
