Daniele Dessena is a halfback for Cagliari. He was born on 10 May, 1987 in Parma, Italy.
Daniele’s youth career started at the football academy of a prestigious Italian club Parma. After 7 years of studying and playing for Parma youth team, Dessena finally graduated from the academy.
In 2004 year Daniele penned a deal with Parma and joined the club’s first team. Dessena made a number of appearances in the starting lineup, but still didn’t manage to secure a regular place in the first team. In total the Italian midfielder made 81 appearances and netted 5 goals for Parma.
In 2008 Daniele joined Samdoria, where he played in 55 matches and scored 2 goals, becoming a reular in the side.
In 2009 Cagliari acquired Dessena on loan for the 2009/10 season. In Cagliari he played in 29 matches and scored 3 goals, though returned to Sampdoria in a season. In January 2012 Daniele was again loaned to Cagliari, where he currently plays.
From 2006 to 2009 Daniele was capped 25 times for Italy U-21, scoring 6 goals.
