Daniele Paponi is a striker for Bologna. He was born on 16 April 1988 in Ancona, Italy.
Daniele’s football career started in 1988 at Ascona youth academy.
In 2004 Daniele played for Parma youth squad until making his way up to the senior team in 2005. Paponi was 17 when he made his debut in Serie A in October 2005. Daniele fought for a spot in Parma starting lineup to the last and eventually earned the position of a regular striker during the 2007/08 season.
In 2008 Daniele Paponi was loaned to Cesena, where he featured in 21 matches and scored 2 goals.
In January 2008 Cesena was promoted to Serie B and Daniele returned to Parma to play in the 2008/09 season. In January 2009 though, after scoring 2 goals in 7 matches for Parma, Paponi was loaned out to Rimini and then to Perugia. In the 2009/10 season Daniele played 21 matches for the Griffons.
In June 2010 Rimini exchanged Paponi for Gabriele Paonessa from Bologna. Since 2010 Daniele Paponi started 15 matches and scored 2 goals for Bologna.
From 2007 to 2008 Daniele Paponi played for Italy U-20 totaling 4 caps.
