Danijel Aleksić is a Serbian striker playing for Saint-Étienne. He was born on April 30, 1991 in a town of Pula in the former Republic of Yugoslavia.
Danijel’s youth career started in 1998. He joined the youth team of the club Veternik at the academy of which he received his education till 2002. In 2002 Aleksić passed through a trial competition at the club Vojvodina and eventually was accepted to it to keep studying there till 2007.
In 2007 Dalijel was offered to sign a professional contract with the club that brought him up and it came to be the first opportunity for him to start performing at a high level. Danijel signed the contract in the summer of 2007 and performed there till 2010. The footballer played 48 games scoring 8 goals for the club where he spent 3 years.
In 2010 Danijel accepted an offer from Genoa in Italy. He signed for that club in January however couldn’t reach his best conditions there being used only in one game of the season.
In the summer of 2010 Danijel was loaned to Greuther Fürth, performing in the second Bundesliga where he played 16 games with 2 goals till the end of the year.
In 2012 the striker was transferred to Saint-Étienne in the Ligue 1 to perform in the seasons to come.
From 2006 to 2010 Danijel was called up to the national U-17, U-19 and U-21 Serbian teams. There he was involved in 33 games and scored 17 goals. In 2008 he received his single call-up to the national team of Serbia.
