Danilo D’Ambrosio is an Italian defender, born on September 9, 1988 in Naples, Italy. Danilo together with his brother Dario started his football journey in the youth set-up at Salernitana, before moving to Fiorentina`s U-20s in 2005. Nominally a midfielder, he was required to fill in at the centre of defense on many occasions.
In January 2008 Danilo was co-owned by Serie C club Potenza. At the end of the term La Viola bought him back and immediately finalized another co-ownership agreement, this time with Juve Stabia. A year later the club secured a permanent transfer of the footballer.
In January 2010, D’Ambrosio left Juve Stabia for Torino, having featured in 47 games and notched 2 goals.
Four years later D’Ambrosio moved to Internazionale.
His international debut for Italy U-21 came against Denmark on August 11, 2010.
