Danny da Costa. Biography

The footballer’s full name is Danny Vieira da Costa. He was born on 13 July 1993 in Neuss, Germany.

Danny’s career took off in Winfriedia Mülheim, where he played and trained till 2001. After that, da Costa experienced some serious changes, because his talent was noticed by Bayer 04 Leverkusen, which bought the footballer from the previous club. He started to perform for the youth team of the new squad in 2001.

In 2010 Danny took part in the Under 17 Fußball-Bundesliga final and later transferred to the U-19 squad, playing for it till 2010/2011. The majority of 23 appearances of the footballer were in the U-17 Championship. However, soon he was let on the pitch with the main team in the Europa League match against Atlético Madrid. Besides, he took part in the game against Metalist Kharkiv. Danny’s début in the Bundesliga came on 24 September 2011 in the match against Bayern Munich.

In the summer 2012 he was sent on loan to Bundesliga 2 side Ingolstadt 04.
