Danny Drinkwater is a midfielder of Leicester City. He was born on 5 March 1990 in Manchester, England.
In 2006, Danny was lucky to have a trial at the academy of Manchester United. The footballer showed solid performance in a demonstration game and passed all necessary tests to be admitted to the youth system of the club. It took Drinkwater three years to get ready for a professional start.
In 2009, the midfielder graduated to the main squad of MU, penned a senior contract and was immediately sent on loan to Huddersfield Town, where he had a spectacular début season. Danny netted two goals in 35 fixtures for the temporary team during one year and completed a loan move to Cardiff City. The footballer took part in nine games for the new club during six months and sealed a temporary deal with Watford in January 2011. Drinkwater featured in 12 matches for ‘The Hornets’ before finalizing a half-a-year loan move to Barnsley, where he made 17 appearances and fired one goal.
In January 2012, Leicester City secured the midfielder’s services on permanent basis. Danny took part in 19 fixtures and found the net two times for ‘The Foxes’ during the second half of the season.
From 2006 till 2009, the footballer was capped 14 times and contributed one goal for the England national U-18 and U-19 squads.
