Chairman is determined that the club needs to bring quality players in a bid to raise the club’s status and fight for the European spots next season. “Michael and I looked weeks ago at what we felt we need to do in January and one of the things he wanted sooner rather than later was to sign Roland Lamah. We got that done as early as we could, and there were one or two other things which we worked on behind the scenes.”

“Ideally we might have got the players in during January, but in a couple of cases the players who we felt were right for us wanted to stay with their current clubs until the summer. Hopefully, when the transfer window opens again, we can get things done quickly. Hopefully we can make sure we get our squad together before our pre-season trip - that’s our aim,” – added Jenkins.

With the departure of Danny Graham chairman believes the signing of another striker should be the priority for the club. “I think nearly every club who are aiming to compete at the top end of the Premier League will be looking for forwards who can add something different.”

Thu, 14 Feb 2013 11:28:25 +0000 Basil Naumov 98672 at http://www.footballtop.com http://www.footballtop.com/news/swansea-prepared-splash-cash-summer#comments Danny Graham finalized move to Sunderland http://www.footballtop.com/news/danny-graham-finalized-move-sunderland

According to Daily Mail Swansea striker Danny Graham has completed his move to Sunderland after successfully passing his medical and agreeing personal terms with the club.

The Black Cats are believed to have paid around £5.5 million for the 27-year-old player who is considered as a cover for their first-choice striker Steven Fletcher.

Graham has made 17 appearances this season scoring 3 goals.

Thu, 31 Jan 2013 10:09:08 +0000 Basil Naumov 91722 at http://www.footballtop.com http://www.footballtop.com/news/danny-graham-finalized-move-sunderland#comments Sunderland edge closer to signing Swansea Graham http://www.footballtop.com/news/sunderland-edge-closer-signing-swansea-graham

Daily Mirror states Sunderland are on the brink of completing £5.5 million switch for Swansea striker Danny Graham.

The 27-year-old forward has informed Swansea hierarchy he wants to move to Sunderland due to the ‘personal reasons’.
