Daniel Anthony William Graham was born on 12 August 1985 in Gateshead, England. His career began in the youth team of amateur Chester-le-Street Town.
In 2003 Danny penned his first senior contract with Middlesbrough and performed there during four years. However, he failed to clinch a place in the main team and chipped in only one goal in 15 matches. Graham spent the most of the time on loan in various clubs.
From 2004 the footballer played for Darlington, Derby County, Leeds United and Blackpool. In 2007 Danny went on loan to Carlisle United. Years of training and experience helped Graham to make stellar performance and reveal his talent, which impressed the management of the temporary club that signed the footballer on permanent basis after the end of his loan spell. Daniel made 100 appearances and netted 36 goals during two seasons in ‘Cumbrians & Blues’. In 2008 he was voted the best striker of the division.
In 2009 Graham refused to extend his contract with Carlisle United and continued his career in Watford. He amassed 38 goals in 91 matches during two seasons in the new club and became the top goalscorer of the Championship.
In June 2011, Danny completed his Watford spell with Swansea City move and played there until January 2013. Later on he joined Sunderland but was loaned out to Hull City for the season 2013/2014.
In 2004 Graham was capped one time for the England national U-20 squad.
