Daniel Adam Pugh is a midfielder, born on 19 October 1982 in Stockport, England.
Danny started his career in the academy of Manchester United, where he performed for the youth squad before penning his first professional contract with the club in 2002.
In 2004, the footballer completed a move to Leeds United and became the anchor player, who did not miss any matches in the first half of the season. He made 50 appearances and found the net five times for the team during two years, but failed to cement a regular place and sat on the substitutes’ bench.
In June 2006, Preston North End secured Pugh’s services and saw him score four goals in 52 matches during two seasons.
In November 2007, the midfielder sealed a loan deal with Stoke City, which decided to offer him a permanent contract in January the same year. Danny accepted the offer and was given a lot of playing time almost at once. However, the player did not manage to beat off the competition for a place in the main squad from his more football-wise teammates and was doomed to make sub appearances, which did not prevent him from extending his contract with ‘The Potters’ till 2012 though. Pugh featured in 54 games and fired one goal for the team till 2010.
In 2010, the midfielder was sent on loan to Preston North End, where he took part in five fixtures during his spell. In September, Danny completed a three-month move to Leeds United, which decided to offer the footballer a permanent deal after his temporary contract expired. Pugh made 18 appearances for ‘The Peacocks’ as of December 2012. Later on in 2013 Danny had a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday.
In the summer 2014 Pugh completed a permanent move to Coventry City.
