Dario Dainelli is a central defender of Italian club Chievo. He was born on June 9, 1979 in Pontedera, Italy.
Dario began his professional career in 1998 after he signed a professional contract with Empoli, where prior to that he played as youth. In that same year Dainelli was loaned to Modena, where he didn’t play a single match. In 1999 he moved to Cavese on loan and made a total of 10 appearances. In the summer of 1999 Dario joined Fidelis Andria on loan and made 28 appearances there in the 1999/2000 season. In 2000 Dario signed a permanent contract with Lecce, but played only 14 matches during the 2000/01 season.
In 2001 Dario signed for Brescia and played for the club during the 2001/02 season. In the next season though Dainelli was loaned to Verona. During the 2002/03 campaign with the Mastiffs Dainelli appeared in 13 matches. After returning from loan Dario continued to periodically appear in Brescia starting lineup, and by the summer of 2004 he amassed 60 matches and 1 goal. In 2004 Dario signed a contract with Fiorentina. The next 6 seasons happened to be the most successful years in his career as an Italian defender made 143 appearances and scored 7 goals for Fiorentina.
In 2010 Dario joined Genoa on a long-term contract. For two years the Italian footballer was a key center back totaling 57 appearances and 1 goal. In January 2012 Dainelli was loaned to Chievo and was later signed on a permanent contract by the club management.
In 2002 Dainelli played one match for the Italian U-21 team, and in 2005 he was capped for Italy national team.
