Darius Henderson is a striker of Nottingham Forest. He was born on 7 September 1981 in Sutton, London, England.
Darius’s professional career took off in Reading in 2000, when the footballer penned his first senior four-year contract with the club and started to make occasional sub appearances. Henderson raised the level of his skills and began to come on the pitch in the starting line-up, but the management decided to send him on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion, where the striker netted two goals in ten fixtures during half a year. After returning to his parent Reading, Darius took his tally to 11 goals in 71 games by 2004.
In January 2004, the footballer transferred to Gillingham. However, he went on loan to Swindon Town at once and fired five goals in six matches for the team during his spell. After returning to his parent club, Henderson featured in 36 fixtures and chipped in nine goals during one season.
In 2005, the striker sealed a deal with Watford and clinched a regular spot in the starting line-up at once. He amassed 29 goals in 105 games for ‘The Hornets’ before completing a move to Sheffield United in 2008. Darius found the net 20 times in 72 matches for the new team during three seasons and drew the attention of various clubs.
In the summer 2011, Millwall secured the footballer’s services on permanent basis and saw him score 22 goals in 46 fixtures as of January 2013 when he penned a new contract with Nottingham Forest.
