David Di Michele is a striker for Reggina. He was born on January 6, 1976 in Guidonia, Italy.
David’s professional career started in 1993 after signing a contract with Lodigiani, where he played for 3 years, totaling 43 matches and 6 goals. In 1996 Di Michele signed for Foggia and played for the club for 2 seasons. During that time David was a key player in the starting lineup, making a total of 68 appearances and scoring 14 goals.
In 1998 the Italian striker moved to Salernitana and stayed there until 2001. During his stint at Salernitana Di Michele was a key forward of the club, scoring 40 goals in 92 matches. In 2001 David signed a 5-year contract with Udinese Calcio but spent there only 3 seasons, as he was loaned to Reggina in 2002 to eventually score 15 goals in 62 appearances. After the loan spell at Reggina, David returned to Udinese and continued his performances in Italian Serie A. By 2006, Di Michele scored 23 goals in 78 matches for the Little Zebras.
In 2006 the striker moved to Palermo to score 16 goals in 48 appearances during the 2006/07 season. In the summer of 2007 Di Michele signed a contract with Torino, where he made 43 appearances and scored 10 goals during the 2007/08 season. In the summer of 2008 David was sent on loan to English West Ham, where during the 2008/09 season he made 30 appearances and scored 4 goals. In January 2010 Lecce decided to rent the player for 6 months. During that period Di Michele established himself as a high-key player, making 19 appearances and scoring 3 goals by the summer of the same year. After the loan spell expired, Lecce management decided to buy Di Michele and signed him on a long-term contract. In 2012 Di Michele was purchased by ChievoVerona. Later on he switched to Serie B side Reggina.
From 2005 to 2006 Di Michele earned 6 caps for Italy national team.
