David Dunn is a midfielder of Blackburn Rovers. He was born on 27 December 1979 in Great Harwood, England.
In 1998, Dunn penned a professional contract with Blackburn Rovers after being a trainee of the club’s academy. The footballer cemented a regular place in the starting line-up almost at once and amassed 30 goals in 135 games for the team till 2003.
In the summer 2003, David sealed a deal with Birmingham City, where he did not get a place in the starting XI at once. The midfielder coped with the high competition, but netted only seven goals in 58 fixtures during four years.
In 2007, Dunn returned to his native Blackburn Rovers and gained the head coach’s trust once again, which helped him to regain the reputation of the pivot of ‘The Riversiders’. The footballer made 139 appearances and fired 15 goals for the club as of December 2012.
From 1998 till 2002, David featured in 23 games and contributed three goals for the England national U-18 and U-21 squads. In 2002, the midfielder was called up to the full ‘Three Lions’.
