David Fox is a midfielder, born on 13 December 1983 in Leek, England.
David’s professional career took off in 2000, when he penned a contract with Manchester United after being a trainee of the club for some time. However, Fox did not manage to play for ‘The Red Devils’ as the management decided to send him on loan. The footballer completed a season-long loan deal with Royal Antwerp in 2002, which was later extended for the 2003/2004 season.
In the summer 2004, David went on loan to Shrewsbury Town, where he managed to make two appearances and go on to net one time. In the summer 2006, Fox ended his MU spell with Blackpool move. That is where the footballer’s career began to flourish, though with a big delay. After David came to the training ground, he had a kind of a trial, which showed he deserved a place in the starting line-up. Fox took part in several matches and proved the head coach did the right thing. He made 94 appearances and fired six goals during three years in the club.
In 2009 David transferred to Colchester United after penning a long-term contract with the team. However, he performed for ‘The U’s’ only during one season, took part in 18 games and kicked three goals. In the summer 2010, Fox moved to Norwich City. In 2013 Fox had a loan spell with Barnsley. In 2014 Fox was released from the club.
From 1999 till 2003, David was capped 13 times for the England national U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-20 squads.
