A Spanish footballer David Rodríguez Lombán acts as a defender for Barcelona B. David was born on 5 June 1987 in Avilés.
David started his junior career at Oviedo. Very soon he was noticed by Valencia, where his junior career passed. In 2006, after concluding his formation, Lombán joined the reserve team of Valencia. He performed for the club’s squad until 2009 making occasional appearances. In total, he netted one goal in 37 matches. In 2007, David started to make rare appearances for the main team. He formed part of Valencia side that brought the victory at the Spanish Cup. Altogether, he featured in three games for the first team.
In 2009, the defender spent a season-long loan at Salamanca. He produced a good performance featuring in 21 games for the temporary squad. In 2010, a two-year contract was penned with Xerez. David managed two wonderful seasons with the club. He immediately became the team’s regular racking up four goals in 75 matches. In 2012, a deal was agreed with Barcelona and defender joined the club’s reserve squad.
On international level, Lombán earned 12 calls in three years for the Spain national youth squad at U-17 and U-20 level. His first cap for the national side came in 2004.
