David Marshall is a goalkeeper of Cardiff City. He was born on 5 March 1985 in Glasgow, Scotland.
In 2000, David joined the academy of Celtic and started to perform for the junior squad of the club. It took the footballer two years to perfect his skills and get ready for a professional level. In 2002, he penned his first senior contract, but had to watch all matches from the substitutes’ bench during his début season. Marshall made only 35 appearances for the team during five years and went on loan to Norwich City in 2007. The keeper took part in two fixtures for ‘The Canaries’ during his spell and met the management’s demands, which entailed his move to the club on permanent basis. David clinched a regular place between the posts and featured in 92 games for the team during two years.
In the summer 2009, the footballer transferred to Welsh side Cardiff City and made 128 appearances for ‘The Bluebirds’ as of January 2013.
