David McGoldrick is a forward of Ipswich Town on loan from Nottingham Forest. He was born on 19 November 1987 in Nottingham, England.
David started to play football at the professional level in Notts County in 2004, when he penned his first professional contract and joined the first squad. However, the forward managed to make only four appearances for the club before completing a move to Southampton, where his career swayed back and forth, because he had to face the high competition for a place in the starting line-up. In 2005, McGoldrick went on loan to Notts County and featured in six matches for the team during his spell. From 2007 till 2008, the footballer performed on temporary basis at Bournemouth and Port Vale. After returning to his parent Southampton, David took his tally to 64 games and 12 goals for ‘The Saints’ during five years.
In 2009, the forward put pen to paper of a permanent contract with Nottingham Forrest and was given a chance to take part in several matches for the new club during his début season. In 2011, McGoldrick completed a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday and fired one goal in four matches for the team during his spell. After his temporary deal expired, the footballer returned to his parent ‘Foresters’ and took his tally to eight goals in 63 fixtures by August 2012, when he was sent on loan to Coventry City.
In January 2013, Ipswich Town secured David’s services on a temporary six-month deal.
