David Ospina is a goalkeeper, born on August 31, 1988 in Medellín, Colombia.
His junior career started in Atlético Nacional. In 2005 the promising goalie launched his senior career when he signed a three-year contract with the club. David quickly got a regular place in the team. During the 2005/2008 seasons he took part in 97 matches. David was noticed by the scouts of numerous football clubs from Latin America and Europe. Eventually, David Ospina completed a move to OGC Nice, sealing a long-term deal with the club. The head coach felt confident of a young but experienced goalkeeper, so David quickly became a first-team choice. From 2008 to 2014 David made over 200 appearances for Nice. In the summer 2014 he moved to Arsenal.
David Ospina has been an established part of Colombia national football team since 2007. In 2014 he reached the quarterfinals at the World Cup in Brazil.
