A French footballer David Sauget plays as a defender for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
The player’s football career emerged from Sochaux training centre. Although he managed to train with the club’s major squad he starred for the reserve team. After graduation in 2000 a young defender was not offered a professional contract so he decided to join FC Rouen and represented it for a year.
Then David signed a contract with Besançon RC where he turned out to be a godsend for the coach. That is why he immediately became a rightful defender of the team.
Sauget was also the champion in 2003 and in the ensuing season played as a starter at Division 1. In 2004 the club began to fall behind and the player opted for SC Bastia. Aged 25 he made his debut in Ligue 1 on 27 November 2004. During the season he made 17 appearances but Bastia lost its position. In the following year the defender signed a contract with AS Nancy.
David appeared to be an effective element of the team so he was entrusted a place in the UEFA European Football Championship. In 2008 he moved to AS Saint-Étienne.
One year later the player was awarded a contract with Grenoble Foot 38. Despite his efforts the team continued to lose its positions.
It took 10 years for the defender to return to Sochaux which he represents at present.
