Davide Mandelli is a defender, born on June 28, 1977 in Monza, Italy.
Davide’s professional career started in 1996 after he signed a professional contract with Biellese. Mandelli performed confidently, becoming a key defender and earning for himself a regular spot in the starting lineup, making 88 appearances by 1999.
In 1999 David joined Varese and successfully played in the starting eleven, totaling 31 matches and scoring 2 goals.
In 2000 Mandelli attracted the attention of Torino, which signed him on a long-term contract. During the first season David has played a few matches, but his performances didn’t inspire the head coach to include the defender in the starting lineup. In the summer of 2001 Mandelli was loaned to Siena. For two seasons, from 2001 to 2003, Mandelli played in Siena starting lineup, making 65 appearances and scoring 3 goals. After the loan spell ended, Davide returned to Torino, where he stayed until 2004, totaling 52 matches and 1 goal.
In 2004 Davide signed a contract with Chievo. After a pre-season training session at Chievo the club head coach appreciated Mandelli’s talent and included him in the starting lineup. A bit later Davide established himself as a key defender of the Flying Donkeys. Since 2004 Mandelli played 178 matches and scored 7 goals for Chievo Verona.
In 2012 the defender signed a new deal with Lumezzane. In 2013 Mandelli became an assistant coach at the club.
