Davy Pröpper is a midfielder of Vitesse. He was born on 2 September 1991 in Arnhem, Netherlands. Davy is the older brother of defender Robin Pröpper.
Pröpper’s youth career took off in VDZ, from where he moved to Vitesse. The footballer’s professional début came on 17 January 2010 in the away match against NEC, where he came on as a late substitute for Kevin van Diermen. Davy made his first start in the game versus NAC Breda on 13 April 2010.
The midfielder made 11 appearances during 2009/2010, but managed to find the net only in the following season, when he scored the opener in the away 4-2 loss to Amsterdam side Ajax.
On 14 November 2009, Pröpper took part in the 2010 European U-19 Championship qualifier against Cyprus, where he came on as a substitute for Steven Berghuis. On 17 November 2009, Davy came on the field in the starting XI for the game versus the Czech Republic national team. In 2010 the footballer was called up to the U-21 squad and contributed one goal in five fixtures as of October 2012.
