Demy de Zeeuw is a midfielder who currently plays for Anderlecht on loan from Spartak Moscow. He was born on 26 may 1983 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
In 1989, Demy began training at Apeldoorn football academy. He played for the junior team before moving to AGOVV academy in 1995. Demy commenced his senior career when he signed a four-year deal with Go Ahead Eagles in 2001. He quickly established himself as a first-team regular. During his 2001-2005 spell at the club he made 65 appearances and netted 7 goals.
In 2005, Demy penned a four-year deal with AZ. He was an integral part of the team, taking part in 119 matches and scoring15 goals during his spell at AZ.
In 2009, Demy de Zeeuw was snapped up by Ajax. On 2 August 2009, he made his first-team debut in the match against FC Groningen. Although he wasn’t a highly paid footballer, Demy was called up to the first team and was frequently in the starting eleven. During his spell in Ajax Demy made 59 starts and clinched 8 goals.
In 2011, Demy de Zeeuw completed a move to Spartak Moscow for a fee of €7 million. In 2013 he was sent on loan to Anderlecht.
From 2005 to 2006 he was called up to the Netherlands U21 team that won the 2006 UEFA U-21 Championship. He was also selected to play for the national football team in Euro 2008 and in the 2010 World Cup he featured in several matches.
