A Brazilian footballer Denílson Pereira Neves plays as a central midfielder for the temporary club - São Paulo. He was born on 16 February 1988.
Denílson’s junior career started when he was ten. He entered the academy of the local São Paulo in 1998. For almost seven years at the club’s youth department, the midfielder cruised through almost all junior teams. In 2005, he switched to the senior squad. His debut season was lined with 13 appearances made.
Despite the lack of playing experience Denílson was scouted by one of the most powerful English clubs Arsenal. In 2006 a long-term contract was penned with a €3.4 million buy-out clause. The midfielder debuted for the English team in December 2006 in a match with Sheffield United.
In 2011, a year-long loan was agreed with the former side São Paulo. Pereira’s already made more than 35 appearances for the temporary squad.
In 2005, the midfielder was invited 5 times to represent the Brazil U-17 team. He helped the squad to take the runners-up spot at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship and the first place at the 2005 South American U-17 Football Championship.
