Denis Kolodin was born on January 11, 1982 in Kamyshin, Soviet Union. He was also the bronze medalist of the Russian 2004 and 2008 Football Championship. According to the British Daily Mail, Denis was second among the Russian Premier League best players.
The talented player rose through the divisions, signing for Olimpia Volgograd in 2000/2001, where he totaled 66 matches and fired 14 goals. The 2002/2003 season defender performed for Uralan Elista. During the 2004/2005 campaign he defended the colors of Krylia Sovetov Samara. A strong defender with outstanding vision soon became the fans favorite. His progress has not gone unnoticed and he was drafted into the Russia National Team. In 2005 Kolodin moved to Dynamo Moscow. In 2012 Denis embarked on a loan spell at Rostov.
Denis used to play a central defender for the Russia national football team till 2010.
