Denis Vavilin is a Russian goalkeeper who currently plays for Krylia Sovetov. He was born on 4 July 1982 in Samara, Soviet Union.
In his teenage years Denis played for the juniors of Krylia Sovetov. In 2000 he signed a professional contract with the side. From 2000 to 2001 Vavilin made 21 appearances for the reserve squad. On 13 October 2001 Denis made his first-team debut in the match against Spartak Moscow. However, he didn’t establish himself as a first-team regular. During his 2001-2006 stay at Krylia Sovetov the goalkeeper registered 142 appearances for the reserves.
In 2007 Vavilin switched to Nosta Novotroitsk. From 2007 to 2009 he participated in 73 matches for the club. In 2010 Denis moved to KAMAZ, where he played until 2011. Denis was a regular starter at KAMAZ, featuring in 52 games during his 2010-2011 spell at the club. In 2012 the goalkeeper reunited with his boyhood club Krylia Sovetov, signing a 3-year contract with the side.
