Dexter Blackstock is a striker of Nottingham Forest. He was born on 20 May 1986 in Oxford, England.
Dexter’s professional career took off in Southampton, when the footballer joined the main squad of the club after graduating from the academy of Oxford United. Blackstock spent his first season at the training ground, where he gained the necessary experience and raised the level of his workmanship in order to successfully perform for the team. In 2005, the striker went on loan to Plymouth Argyle and netted four goals in 14 fixtures for the club during his spell. The same year, Dexter completed a temporary move to Derby County and fired four goals in nine appearances before returning to his parent Southampton.
In 2006, the footballer left the team for London side QPR after the parties agreed all terms of his signing. During the 2006/2007 season, Blackstock got a lot of playing time and managed to find the net 13 times in 39 matches. The striker made 109 appearances and amassed 30 goals for Queens Park Rangers during three seasons.
In January 2009, Nottingham Forest decided to see Dexter in action and secured his services on a six-month loan. The footballer featured in six matches and went on to net twice during his spell, which earned him an invitation to the club on permanent basis. Blackstock scored 30 goals in 93 fixtures as of December 2012 and continues to perform for ‘Foresters’ up till now.
From 2004 till 2008, the striker made seven appearances for the England national U-18, U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2012, Dexter has been capped four times and contributed one goal for the Antigua and Barbuda national team.
