Didier Digard is a midfielder who represents OGC Nice. He also became a captain in his first year with the club. Didier was born on July 12, 1986 in Gisors, France. His junior career began when he joined Le Havre in 1999. He also trained at club’s football academy.
In 2003 Didier was offered a four-year deal. The young footballer didn’t miss the chance to start his senior career. Soon he became an established part of the first team. Didier scored 3 goals in 72 matches for the club.
In 2007 Didier Digard moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer fee of €2.5 million. In the 2007/2008 season Didier made 16 appearances. Due to his poor performance, the player was transferred to Middlesbrough. Boro signed him to a four-year contract. Didier hasn’t established himself in the starting lineup, coming off the bench 32 times during three seasons from 2008 to 2011.
In the winter of 2010 he was loaned to OGC Nice. He took part in 12 matches and managed to score a long-awaited goal in a loss against Monaco. Didier stayed with Nice for the rest of the 2010/2011 season making 24 appearances. The head coach put him into the starting lineup, so Didier regularly came on field. In 2011 Didier Digard completed his permanent move to Nice on a three-year contract.
Didier also took part in 4 matches for the U21 national team of France.
