Diego Colotto

Diego Daniel Colotto plays forRCD Espanyol as a central defender. He was born in 1981 in Río Cuarto, Argentina, and began his professional playing career at Estudiantes de La Plata, He made his top division debut in February 2001, in the match against Club Atlético Vélez Sársfield that ended in a 1-1 draw. After that Colotto became the first-choice. In 2005, he moved to Mexico and switched to Tecos UAG. In 2007, Colotto signed for Club Atlas, where he played for a season until he moved to Spain, joining Deportivo de La Coruña for €2.5 million. There he spent four seasons and then he transferred to another Spanish side RCD Espanyol.

Diego Colotto represented Argentina at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship helping the team to win the title.
