A Brazilian footballer Diego da Silva Giaretta plays for Atlético Clube Goianiense. He was born on 27 November 1983 in Cascavel.
Diego’s first pro contract was penned in 2001 with the local Cascavel. In 2002, Giaretta moved to Marcílio Dias. The next year the footballer was scouted by one of the oldest clubs of Brazil – Grêmio. He didn’t settle in the team and in 2004 he moved to Spain, where played for Tenerife during a year.
In 2005, Diego came back to his motherland, where he was immediately hired by Brusque. In 2006, a move to Metropolitano happened, which was soon followed by the transfer to Figueirense. In 2008, Giaretta opted to rejoin the former side Grêmio.
In 2009, the player was loaned to Botafogo, where he made 12 appearances and netted 2 goals. In 2011, Diego served a loan at Incheon United, scoring 1 goal in 6 matches for the temporary squad. In 2012, the Brazilian footballer penned a contract with Atlético Goianiense.
